Subject: The authors present technical details, complications, morphologic and aesthetic results of 26 breast reduction mammaplasty for macromastia (breast reduction more than 1000 g) showing advantages and reliability of technique.
Materials And Methods: From January 2000 to December 2001, 223 patients underwent bilateral reduction mammaplasty with superior-based pedicled dermo-glandular flap. In 26 of them the weight of removed mammary tissue was over 1000 g in each breast. These 26 cases were evaluated, and the criteria adopted to analyse the results was morphologic and aesthetic evaluation of patient herself (very good, good, acceptable, unacceptable).
Results: Mean follow-up for all patients was 15 months. Twenty-six patients (mean age 33.2 years) underwent an average weight of 1131 g (930/2200 g) removed per breast. The following complications were observed: 1 Nipple Areolar Complex ischemia without necrosis; three infections (abscess); four delayed wound closure. The patient subjective evaluation of result was: "very good" in 19 cases (73%); "good" in 5 cases (19.2%) and "acceptable" in the others two cases (7.8%). No case was evaluated "unacceptable".
Conclusion: Superior dermoglandular pedicle mammaplasty represent a very good and reliable solution for the treatment of macromastia, giving satisfactory cosmetics results with good nipple viability without necrosis. This technique is actually our first choice in the management of macromastia.

Identifying macroplastic deposition hotspots in rivers is essential for planning cleanup efforts and assessing the risks to aquatic life and the aesthetic value of river landscapes. Recent fieldwork in mountain rivers has shown that wood jams retain significantly more macroplastic than other emergent surfaces within river channels. Here, we experimentally verify these findings by tracking the deposition of 64 PET bottles after 52-65 days of transport in the mid-mountain Skawa River (Polish Carpathians) under low to medium flow conditions.

Aim: 3D-printed scaffolds loaded with healing directed agents could be employed for better treatment outcome in regenerative dentistry. The aim of this study was to fabricate and characterize simple 3D-printed poly lactic acid (PLA) scaffolds coated with nanoHydroxyapatite (nHA), Naringin (NAR), or their combination, and testing their morphological, chemical, mechanical, antibacterial, biocompatible and bioactive properties.
Methodology: Two variants pore sizes, 300 and 700 μm, of 3D-printed PLA disc scaffolds measuring (10 × 1 mm) were fabricated.

This case report presents the multidisciplinary treatment of a male patient with a complex form of frontonasal dysplasia who presented with a 0 to 14 facial cleft, mild hypertelorism, absence of the nasal medial process of the nose, and frontonasal encephalocele. Cranial and plastic surgeries were performed to correct hypertelorism and improve the esthetic appearance of the frontonasal region. In the permanent dentition, the patient presented a Class II, division 1 malocclusion with severe maxillary constriction and bilateral posterior crossbite.
