Shoulder and elbow injuries are prevalent among baseball players, particularly pitchers, who experience repetitive eccentric loading of the shoulder, leading to muscle damage and increased injury risk. Nearly 40% of shoulder injuries in baseball occur in pitchers, with many facing low rates of return to sport. The rotator cuff (RC) muscles-supraspinatus (SSP), infraspinatus (ISP), subscapularis (SSC), and teres minor (TMin)-are crucial for shoulder stability, movement, and force generation, particularly in overhead sports.

Context: Nontraumatic shoulder pain (NSP) is common in volleyball, affecting performance and well-being. It is more prevalent in female players. Shoulder injuries, specifically proximal humeral fractures, are uncommon in skeletally immature patients. The anatomic characteristics of the humerus are determined by its ossification development, which is quite particular in the proximal segment where four principal segments have been outlined as fracture components in adults. Hereby, we present the case of an 18-year-old female who suffered a traffic accident that elicited a proximal humeral injury through the physeal line of the anatomical neck, as well as the treatment given and her clinical outcome with an effort to highlight the complexity of the diagnosis and management of this injury given the transitional bone age.

Shoulder pain often involves the tendon of the long head of the biceps brachii (LHBT) and the transverse humeral ligament (THL). Traditionally, the THL is considered a ligament that prevents the LHBT from dislocating, but recent studies suggest that it may be part of the subscapularis tendon. This review evaluates the nature of the THL and its overlying structures.

Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus in pregnancy is associated with polyhydramnios, macrosomia, and shoulder dystocia, and it also increases maternal and perinatal mortality.
Methods: This sequential explanatory mixed-method study was conducted for six months. All the pregnant women attending the outpatient department of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at 24-28 weeks of gestation were subjected to universal screening with 75 gms of glucose and 2 hours of plasma glucose >140 mgs% is taken for diagnosis (according to DIPSI guidelines).
