Palmoplantar pustular psoriasis (PPPP), or palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP), is a type of psoriasis that affects the skin on the palms and soles. It is characterised by dermatosis and small sterile pustules and is considered a significant burden on patients' quality of life, as there is currently no gold standard treatment or cure. This network meta-analysis (NMA) compares the efficacy and safety of biologic and non-biologic medications for PPPP and PPP.

Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder affecting over 60 million people worldwide, with both physical and psychological impacts due to the visible lesions and associated somatic symptoms. This study aimed to assess disease acceptance among psoriasis patients and to explore its correlation with disease severity, itch intensity, and quality of life (QoL) The study included 166 psoriasis patients, comprising 101 men and 65 women, all with a disease duration of at least one year. Clinical and psychological aspects of psoriasis were comprehensively assessed using various standardized tools, along with a demographic questionnaire.

Background: Adhesion molecules including E-cadherin and N-cadherin have been proven to contribute to the carcinogenesis process. It has been demonstrated that an increased expression or appearance of N-cadherin, as well as a reduction in the expression of E-cadherin, are documented in many cancers, often leading to the loss of intercellular adhesion and acquisition of a more invasive or even metastatic mesenchymal phenotype. The aim of this study was to assess the expression of E-cadherin and N-cadherin, as well as markers of proliferation Ki67 in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Trends in outpatient dermatology appointment wait times for United States (US) veterans are poorly characterized. Given concerns surrounding prolonged wait times at Veterans Health Administration (VHA) medical facilities, the federal government introduced the Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Outside Networks (MISSION) Act in 2018, allowing veterans to receive VHA-reimbursed community care if VHA specialty care appointments cannot be scheduled within 28 days. Considering this expanded access to community care, we characterized among US veterans the (1) overall demand for dermatology appointments, (2) trends in average wait times, and (3) facility/geographic variation in wait times.
