Rapid growth in bio-logging-the use of animal-borne electronic tags to document the movements, behaviour, physiology and environments of wildlife-offers opportunities to mitigate biodiversity threats and expand digital natural history archives. Here we present a vision to achieve such benefits by accounting for the heterogeneity inherent to bio-logging data and the concerns of those who collect and use them. First, we can enable data integration through standard vocabularies, transfer protocols and aggregation protocols, and drive their wide adoption.

Introduction: A subtype of human mast cells (MCs) found in the skin and to a lesser extent in the lung and gut express a novel G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) known as Mas-related GPCR-X2 (MRGPRX2, mouse counterpart MrgprB2). In addition to drug-induced pseudoallergy and cutaneous disorders, MrgprB2 contributes to ulcerative colitis, IgE-mediated lung inflammation and systemic anaphylaxis. Interestingly, most agonists activate MRGPRX2 with higher potency than MrgprB2.

Tight oil is a typical unconventional resource, and enhancing its recovery rate remains a challenge in current development efforts. In this study targeting the Daqing Fuyu tight oil reservoir, we combine a high-temperature and high-pressure long core physical simulation apparatus and a high-temperature and high-pressure online Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) testing system to conduct indoor simulation experiments on CO huff and puff in long cores. The results indicate that in the process, it is primarily the oil from micro-pores that is initially mobilized, but further along mobilization of fluids from a portion of sub-micro-pores and nanopores is enhanced, with an efficiency ranging from 25 to 33 %.

Exposure to acute stressors can induce multiple physiological changes in vertebrates such as altering circulating hormone and enzyme levels as well as leukocyte counts, and interactions between endocrine and immune function may produce suites of physiological changes following acute stress. Previously, we showed that presence of human observers elicited only a weak elevation of plasma corticosterone levels in cottonmouths. Additional variables, however, must be considered to understand if changes in physiological parameters are highly generalized or vary among sexes or with context.
