Delineation of historically marginalized populations in decision models can identify strategies to improve equity but requires assumptions in both model structure and stratification of input data. We sought to characterize alternative methodological approaches for incorporating marginalized populations into human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine decision-support models. We conducted a systematic search of PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, and Embase from January 2006 through June 2022.

Acarbose works by competitively inhibiting α-glucosidase, delaying the breakdown of starch into glucose. Thus, it plays an important role in treating type 2 diabetes. Acarbose exhibits unique pharmacokinetic characteristics, and the United States of America (USA) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has focused on pharmacodynamic parameters rather than pharmacokinetic ones in acarbose bioequivalence studies since issuing its 2009 draft guidance, which was formalized in 2017.

Exposing the insides of the reproductive body visually and narratively has been a long project that has had positive and negative effects on a person's control over their choice to or not to have a child, as historians of medicine, reproduction, and the body have told us and as feminist health advocates have long insisted. The intrauterine device is a relatively new contraceptive technology that, once inserted, promises the user that they may prevent pregnancy while forgetting about the device. This essay examines how this "forgetting" method of relating to conception bumps up against historical circumstances and narrative structures that aim to expose and make legible the reproductive body.

In the present study, we delved into the personal and societal impacts of poverty in the low-income Ultraorthodox Jewish communities of Williamsburg, Borough Park, Lakewood, and Passaic along the East Coast of the United States. Based on 44 interviews with individuals who live in poverty, three main themes were found. The first revolved around issues of identity unique to Ultraorthodox society, characterized by deliberate segregation, the preservation of tradition, and a sense of moral superiority.
