Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) are among the most abundant proteins in the eukaryotic cell nucleus and play a direct role in several aspects of the RNA life including splicing, export of the mature RNAs and translation. To date, approximately 30 proteins have been identified. A growing body of evidence points to hnRNPs as an important target of the autoimmune response in rheumatic diseases. Autoantibodies to A and B proteins of the hnRNP complex have been detected in late 1980s in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD). Beyond their role as diagnostic test in clinical practice, these autoantibodies are starting to be regarded as important tools to obtain deeper insight into the pathogenesis of autoimmune rheumatic diseases. Furthermore, new anti-hnRNP antibodies have been recognized in the last ten years extending the spectrum of anti-hnRNP reactivity in different autoimmune disorders.

Background/objectives: Dithiocarbazates (DTCs) and their metal complexes have been studied regarding their property as anticancer activities. In this work, using S-benzyl-5-hydroxy-3-methyl-5-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pirazol-1-carbodithionate (Hbdtc), we prepared [ReO(bdtc)(Hbdtc)] and [[Tc]TcO(bdtc)(Hbdtc)] complexes for tumor uptake and animal biodistribution studies.
Methods: Re complex was prepared by a reaction of H2bdtc and (NBu)[ReOCl], the final product was characterized by IR, H NMR, CHN, and MS-ESI.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) proviral reservoirs are cells that harbor integrated HIV proviral DNA within their nuclear genomes. These cells form a heterogeneous group, represented by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), tissue-resident lymphoid and monocytic cells, and glial cells of the central nervous system. The importance of studying the properties of proviral reservoirs is connected with the inaccessibility of integrated HIV proviral DNA for modern anti-retroviral therapies (ARTs) that block virus reproduction.

With the rapid advancement of information technology, the data demands in transmission rates, processing speed, and storage capacity have been increasing significantly. However, silicon electro-optic modulators, characterized by their weak electro-optic effect, struggle to balance modulation efficiency and bandwidth. To overcome this limitation, we propose an electro-optic modulator based on an all-fiber micro-ring resonator and a p-Si/n-ITO heterojunction, achieving high modulation efficiency and large bandwidth.

Objective: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the current evidence on the significance of the loss of early stages of oral carcinogenesis in lesions diagnosed according to clinical and/or histopathological criteria and their evolution to oral cancer.
Materials And Methods: We searched MEDLINE (through PubMed), Embase, Scopus and Web of Science for primary-level studies published before November 2024, designed as prospective or retrospective longitudinal cohorts, and not restricted by language or publication date. The risk of bias was critically assessed using the QUIPS tool.
