The program's aim is to promote professional development, lifelong learning and quality assurance for the public and medical community. Rationale And Objectives: To evaluate radiologists' perspectives regarding American Medical Association Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (Cat-1 CME) activities in private practice (PP) and teleradiology (TR), as well as American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification (ABR MOC) program participation status.
Materials And Methods: An electronic survey informed by existing literature regarding physician Cat-1 CME use and opinions was distributed via email to a national radiology practice. The survey was open for seventeen days in 2023, with a single reminder.
Background: Many medical boards require quality improvement (QI) projects for Maintenance of Certification Part IV (MOC4) credits. The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) allows health care organizations that can demonstrate sufficient QI standards to become Portfolio Program Sponsors. This enables internal review and approval of QI projects, crediting all sufficiently contributing physicians.
