Objective: To investigate the association between functional parameters of the microcirculation and the systemic cardiovascular system in a population of pregnant women at risk for gestational hypertension disorders.
Study Design: For this observational study, women at high cardiovascular risk according to maternal anthropometrics, obstetric and medical history, were recruited at random gestational age depending on time of referral to the outpatient clinic for high risk prenatal care at Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg, Genk Belgium. After birth, data of maternal and neonatal outcome were obtained from the hospital records: only women with normal pregnancy (n = 142) and with preeclampsia (n = 34) were included in this analysis.

We conducted an extensive search across numerous databases to identify eligible studies from inception to April 2024. Researchers included randomized trials that compared VR intervention during NSTs in the third trimester with control groups.

: NIPT is a widely implemented method for prenatal screening of chromosomal disorders. Its introduction initiated the practice of counseling women pre- and post-analytically. Since the test's usage is established in different conditions, comparing data from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds would be of scientific value.

Background: Effective use of health services by pregnant and postpartum woman (PPWs) is crucial to maternal and child health. Most maternal deaths are attributed to inadequate maternal health services, especially in rural areas. Objectives: To characterize resistance rates in urinary tract infections caused by Enterobacterales to first- and second-line antibiotics.
Methods: Positive urine cultures examined by the Eastern Pathology Alliance network from September 2018 to September 2023 were retrospectively analysed. Enterobacterales from non-pregnant adults were included.
