Introduction: Acute kidney injury involves inflammation and intrinsic renal damage, and is a common complication of severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Baseline chronic kidney disease (CKD) confers an increased mortality risk. Background: The high prevalence and prolonged duration of inflow pain and drain pain experienced by peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients following PD catheter implantation impact their quality of life. However, there is limited data on the frequency and predisposing factors of these pains in the Chinese population undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
Methods: This study encompassed individuals who underwent peritoneal dialysis catheter implantation at our institution from September 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

The Geriatric Nutritional Risk Index (GNRI) is an effective tool for identifying malnutrition, and helps monitor the prognosis of patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. However, the association between the GNRI and cardiovascular or all-cause mortality in hemodialysis patients remains unclear. Therefore, this study investigated the correlation of the GNRI with all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.

Traditional inpatient procedures to address AVF stenosis are effective but resource-intensive, prompting the need for alternative approaches like day surgery to optimize care and reduce costs. This study evaluated the feasibility of a day surgery model for AVF stenosis treatment in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients, aiming to develop a cost-effective and high-quality care model.
