We present results from Monte Carlo simulations of hysteresis in the zero-temperature ( T=0 ) dynamics of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick spin glass model. We study the statistics of magnetization-jumps (denoted as Deltam ) in response to a time-dependent magnetic field H (t) , which increases or decreases with constant increments Delta as H(t)-->H(t)+/-Delta . In particular, we focus on the field dependence of the Deltam -distribution function P(Deltam,H) . We formulate arguments to understand the variation of P ( Deltam,H ) along the hysteresis loop in the weak-disorder limit.

The adsorption and aggregation of amphiphiles at different solvent interfaces are of great scientific and technological importance. In this study, interfacial tension measurements of surface-active compounds-ionic liquid 2-dodecyl-2,2dimethylethanolammonium bromide (12Cho.Br) and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)-were conducted both in the absence and presence of ciprofloxacin (CIP).

Unlabelled: The article is devoted to the problem of the rehabilitation stage of cochlear implantation in patients with inner ear abnormalities. It provides a detailed analysis of the audiological characteristics of such patients and draws conclusions about approaches to interpreting diagnostic data and speech processors fitting.

Material And Methods: The track records of 80 patients with abnormalities of the inner ear development were retrospectively studied, of which 10 had abnormal structure of the auditory nerve.

Lead halide perovskites are renowned for their exceptional optoelectronic properties but face concerns over lead toxicity and stability, which drives the exploration of lead-free perovskites, with CsAgBiBr standing out as a benchmark alternative. Understanding the structural dynamics and thermal transport properties of CsAgBiBr is crucial but remains an outstanding challenge due to the complex atomic fluctuations. Here, through diffuse scattering experiments and simulations, we uncover the underlying dynamic local structure in CsAgBiBr, showing a unique two-dimensional spatial correlation.

Water quality and stock assessment of Schizothorax niger (Alghad snowtrout) in Manasbal Lake, Kashmir Himalaya.

Environ Monit Assess

December 2024

Fish Biology and Limnology Research Laboratory, Department of Zoology, University of Kashmir, Srinagar-190006, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

The current work was conducted to investigate fisheries dynamics, rate of growth, and mortality, along with demographic features of Schizothorax niger using length-frequency data collected monthly from Manasbal Lake from August 2020 and July 2022. The length data for estimation was categorized into 13 bins, and population parameters were explored utilizing various options in ELEFAN I, with the best fit (Rn = 0.282) calculated by means of the FiSAT-II application.

Article Synopsis
  • The paper investigates the sustainability of the UK’s environment-human system from 1992 to 2015 using the Doughnut model, proposing a new scoring framework to analyze sustainability outcomes directly.
  • It identifies that the UK operated under very weak sustainability, indicated by certain scores showing a compromised environmental system largely due to exceeded biophysical boundaries, despite social thresholds being met.
  • The study concludes that unless significant changes occur, the UK will not achieve a sustainable operational space, highlighting the need for an urgent shift in the current developmental approach.
