The data of literature and the results of the author's research on the pathogenicity of the causative agent of tularemia and other Francisella organisms are reviewed. The solution of the problem of their pathogenicity is based, as stated by the author, on the level of our knowledge of the genetics of Francisella. The conclusion has been made that scientific achievements in the field of the genetics of Francisella, obtained during the last 15 years, make it possible to find out the pathogenicity factors of the causative agent of tularemia, as well as other microbes of the family Francisella.

Babesia species (Piroplasmida) are hemoparasites that infect erythrocytes of mammals and birds and are mainly transmitted by hard ticks (Acari: Ixodidae). These hemoparasites are known to be the second most common parasites infecting mammals, after trypanosomes, and some species may cause malaria-like disease in humans. Diagnosis and understanding of Babesia diversity increasingly rely on genetic data obtained through molecular techniques.

The current research focused on the synthesis of two series of pyrazole derivatives and evaluation of their insecticidal effectiveness. In the first series, seven pyrazole Schiff bases 3a-g were successfully synthesized with yields (79-95%) by condensing phenylfuran-2-carbaldehyde with substituted pyrazole rings. In the second series, eleven amino acid-pyrazole conjugates 6a-k were synthesized utilizing acetic acid, sulfuric acid, morpholine, and EDC.

Although tamoxifen is commonly utilized as adjuvant therapy for Estrogen Receptor alpha (ERα)-positive breast cancer patients, approximately 30-50% of individuals treated with tamoxifen experience relapse. Therefore, it is essential to investigate additional factors besides ERα that influence the estrogen response. In this study, cross-analysis of databases were performed, and the results revealed a significant association between LINC00626 and ERα signaling as well as increased expression levels of this gene in tamoxifen-resistant cells.

Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is one of the principal causes of morbidity worldwide, with respiratory viruses being common etiological agents. Among them, endemic human coronaviruses (hCoVs) including CoV-229E, CoV-OC43, CoV-NL63, and CoV-HKU1 can cause mild ARI but are usually not evaluated in the clinical setting. The aim of this work was to determine the prevalence of all respiratory pathogens, with the focus placed on endemic hCoVs in the pre-pandemic period.
