Unlabelled: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a gut-derived endotoxin, is a recognized risk factor for both Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and alcoholic liver disease (ALD). Rocaglamide-A (Roc-A), a natural compound derived from the genus Aglaia, is known for its pharmacological and immunosuppressive effects on various cell types. Although our recent investigations have unveiled Roc-A's anti-adipogenic role in adipocytes, its mechanism in hepatic inflammation remains elusive.

Aim: Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease initiated by dysbiosis of the local microbial community. As a non-specific phosphodiesterase inhibitor, dipyridamole features anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This study aimed to investigate the effects of dipyridamole in an experimental rat model of periodontitis.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is recognized as a signaling molecule in plants, inducing various physiological responses. This article briefly examines the physiological functions of CO in seed biology and seedlings' responses to environmental stresses. The activity of heme oxygenase (HO), the main enzyme responsible for CO synthesis, is a key factor controlling CO levels in plant cells.
