A case of pericholecystic hyperperfusion on Tc-99m sulfur colloid (SC) flow images with a pericholecystic rim of increased activity (PCHA) on delayed planar and single-photon emission computed tomography images of the liver was seen in a patient with a history of multiple renal transplants admitted with cramping right lower quadrant abdominal pain. Laparotomy performed 5 days after the scan revealed an acutely perforated gangrenous gallbladder and occluded cystic duct. The secondary findings of gallbladder hyperperfusion and PCHA or "rim sign" have been frequently reported with Tc-99m IDA hepatobiliary imaging. These secondary findings in conjunction with a nonvisualized gallbladder on an IDA scan suggest a complicated or advanced stage of acute cholecystitis and usually require urgent surgical intervention. The rim sign on Tc-99m SC scintigraphy also likely indicates the same grave diagnosis.

Objective: To analyse the parameters of shear wave elastography (SWE) and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in breast non-mass-like lesions (NMLs) and to evaluate the added diagnostic value of SWE and CEUS when combined with B-mode ultrasound (US) for differentiating NMLs.
Methods: A total of 118 NMLs from 115 patients underwent US, SWE, and CEUS examinations. The SWE parameter with the highest areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves (Az) and independent variables of CEUS obtained by logistic regression were used to adjust the BI-RADS-US (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System for Ultrasound) classification.

Spinal cord tuberculoma is a clinically significant form of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis, despite its rarity. It leads to considerable neurological deficits and morbidity. Accurate diagnosis and early intervention depend on radiologic imaging, typically MRI, which reveals T2 hypointensity with rim enhancement, forming a ``target sign'' characteristic of caseous stage tuberculoma.

Bacterial liver parenchymal infections in dogs are rarely documented, and their imaging characteristics are scarce in the veterinary literature, especially in Computed Tomography (CT). This retrospective multicentric study aimed to describe the CT characteristics of parenchymal bacterial liver infection and abscessation in dogs and compare them with the human literature. Twenty dogs met the inclusion criteria.

Rationale And Objectives: Angioleiomyomas are benign perivascular tumors that originate from the tunica media of blood vessels. While frequently described in the head, neck, and uterus, angioleiomyomas can manifest in various regions throughout the body. The purpose of this study was to review the history and imaging features of angioleiomyomas of the trunk and extremities.

Uremic encephalopathy (UE) is a neurological complication of renal failure characterized by cognitive dysfunction and movement abnormalities. A novel radiologic sign termed the "lentiform fork sign" has been identified in patients with UE and metabolic acidosis. This sign manifests as bilateral symmetrical hyperintensities in the basal ganglia, bordered by a hyperintense rim on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), particularly on T2-weighted and fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) sequences.
