Pediatricians' and teachers' knowledge of physical, cognitive, and behavioral features associated with three genetic syndromes were assessed and the effectiveness of information sources about these syndromes evaluated. The surveyed sample included 53 pediatricians and 69 teachers from Northern and Central California. Respondents demonstrated limited knowledge regarding the physical phenotype of fragile X syndrome and significantly less knowledge of velo-cardio-facial syndrome (VCFS). In the cognitive and behavioral domains, significantly more was known about Down and fragile X syndromes than VCFS. Pediatricians and teachers make critical treatment and education decisions for children with these syndromes and would benefit from continued professional development about these syndromes through conferences, professional/association publications, in-service teacher training, and journals.

: Distal femur tumor resection with limb salvage is a demanding procedure that offers hope for patients by preserving the limb rather than opting for amputation. While limb salvage can improve both physical function and psychological well-being, there's limited knowledge on how active patients remain afterward and how their Quality of Life (QoL) is affected, especially regarding physical activities and sports. This study investigates the quality of life of the patients through the development of motor activity, focusing on both physical and sporting activity of the above-mentioned individuals and their physical abilities to participate in activities of daily and sporting life after surgery.

Background: Mexico has one of the highest global incidences of paediatric overweight and obesity. Public health interventions have shown only moderate success, possibly from relying on knowledge extracted using limited types of statistical data analysis methods.
Purpose: To explore if multimodal machine learning can enhance identifying predictive features from obesogenic environments and investigating complex disease or social patterns, using the Mexican National Health and Nutrition Survey.

Objectives: More knowledge about health related quality of life (HRQoL) among mothers with inflammatory joint disease (IJD) is needed to understand the complex challenges for this group of patients. The overall aim of this study was to investigate changes in HRQoL among mothers with IJD from year 2000 to year 2020.
Methods: This study had a comparative cross-sectional design with two study groups 20 years apart, year 2000 ( = 77) and year 2020 ( = 197).
Environmental historical geography is a diverse, dynamic and active subfield with close connections to environmental history. Here, I examine developments in three overarching and overlapping themes within the subfield: environmental reconstruction, environmental knowledges and discourses, and environmental impacts and interventions. For each area, I highlight recent approaches to, and applications of, environmental historical geography.
