Water splitting by an electrochemical method to generate hydrogen gas is an economic and green approach to resolve the looming energy and environmental crisis. Designing a composite electrocatalyst having integrated multichannel charge separation, robust stability, and low-cost facile scalability could be considered to address the issue of electrochemical hydrogen evolution. Herein, we report a superhydrophilic, noble-metal-free bimetallic nanostructure TiO/NiP coated on graphitic polyacrylonitrile carbon fibers (g-C/TiO/NiP) using a facile hydrothermal method followed by phosphorylation.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the global economy. It also provided insights into how the looming global climate crisis might be addressed, as there are several similarities between the challenges proposed by COVID-19 and those expected from the coming climate emergency. COVID-19 is an immediate health threat, but climate change represents a more gradual and insidious risk that will lead to long-term consequences for human health.

The occurrence and spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) pose a looming threat to human health around the world. Novel antibiotics are urgently needed to address the AMR crisis. In recent years, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have gained increasing attention as potential alternatives to conventional antibiotics due to their abundant sources, structural diversity, broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, and ease of production.

This letter highlights the critical issue of sedentary lifestyles among preclinical and paraclinical doctors in India, which poses significant health risks that are often overlooked. This manuscript reviews research demonstrating the links between prolonged sitting and increased risks of cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, mental health issues, and impaired cognitive function in this population. The COVID-19 pandemic is also discussed as a factor that may have exacerbated sedentary behavior.
