Objectives: The Kingston Standardized Cognitive Assessment-Revised (KSCA-R) was designed to be a cognitive screening tool available to health professionals who were not trained in specialized cognitive assessment techniques. It was introduced to bridge the gap between brief, narrowly focused rating scales, and intensive, expensive, full neuropsychological assessments. We now present the Brief Kingston Standardized Cognitive Assessment-Revised (BriefKSCA-R).
Methods: Groups of Alzheimer's disease patients, patients suffering from other dementias, and a group of normal community dwelling elderly were assessed using the BriefKSCA-R.
Results: This shortened version of the full Kingston Standardized Cognitive Assessment-Revised can be given in half the time while retaining most of the full KSCA-R's effectiveness.
Conclusions: Suitable for a quick screening, or follow-up of patients already more fully assessed.

Objectives: To systematically map the entry-level competencies of rehabilitation professions to the World Health Organization's Rehabilitation Competency Framework (RCF) to identify overlapping commonalities and gaps across available rehabilitation frameworks.
Design: The competence frameworks of audiology, occupational therapy, physical and rehabilitation medicine, psychology, physiotherapy, prosthetics and orthotics, rehabilitation nursing, and speech and language therapy were researched online. In cases where international standards or competencies were unavailable online, expert colleagues in the related field were consulted to confirm the absence of an international document.

Purpose: A high proportion of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) remains undiagnosed. The main objectives of this study were to measure the prevalence of diagnosed OSA and determine OSA predictors in patients who underwent bariatric surgery, who are predominantly female and pre-menopausal and represent an understudied population in OSA literature.
Methods: This was a cross-sectional population-based study using the Ontario Bariatric Registry (OBR) from 2010 to 2016, linked to ICES databases which include health administrative data on all encounters within a single public-payer system.

Introduction: Strategic knowledge mobilization efforts are needed to enhance uptake and use of the Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines (24HMG), which describe optimal amounts of physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep each day for overall health. The Whole Day Matters Toolkit for Primary Care is an evidence-informed resource to help primary care providers (PCPs) disseminate the 24HMGs. The purpose of this study was to describe gaining consensus on toolkit components through iterative revisions to improve its utility in preparation for the September 2022 launch, and to summarize early dissemination efforts.
