Objective: To understand the role of primary care in the COVID-19 pandemic to provide insight into its functioning and inform potential reforms.
Composition Of The Committee: The now dissolved Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table (Science Table) was formed in July 2020 to provide decision makers and the public with a synthesis of rapidly evolving evidence related to COVID-19. The Science Table was based at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, and supported by Public Health Ontario.

Cognitive decline is an increasingly serious global health challenge. In recent years, an increasing number of non-traditional cognitive rehabilitation training (N-TCRT) interventions have been applied to improve cognitive function, however, Tthe existing evidence is restricted. The meta-analysis of this randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of leisure activity interventions compared to TCRT control on cognitive function in older adults.

Selenopeptides can be ideal dietary selenium (Se) supplements for humans. Currently, rice is not used much as a source of selenopeptides. Here, we executed the selenopeptidomics analysis of selenium-enriched rice protein hydrolysates using the full MS-dd-MS2 acquisition method and identified selenopeptides, including L{Se-Met}AK and other selenopeptides.

Summary: Virus surveillance programmes are designed to counter the growing threat of viral outbreaks to human health. Nanopore sequencing, in particular, has proven to be suitable for this purpose, as it is readily available and provides rapid results. However, as special bioinformatic programmes are required to extract the relevant information from the sequencing data, applications are needed that allow users without extensive bioinformatics knowledge to carry out the relevant analysis steps.
