Background: This study aimed to determine the tendency of older adults to present to the emergency department with pain complaints during the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the prepandemic period.
Methods: A cross-sectional, retrospective study design was used. Data were collected from the electronic medical records of older people who presented to emergency departments with pain before (March 2019-March 2020) and during the COVID-19 pandemic (April 2020-July 2021).

Background: Noma is a rapidly progressing, invasive, and debilitating orofacial disease that primarily affects the most vulnerable and marginalised populations worldwide. The highest- risk group includes pre-school children, exposed to other risk factors, such as malnutrition and poverty-related diseases. Since 2010, Ethiopia has reported an increasing number of noma cases, primarily identified through medical missions.

Expanding PrEP access and utilization is made possible by incorporating it into primary care practice. This study explored the barriers in and attitudes toward prescribing PrEP to adults among primary care providers (PCPs) in Alabama, a priority HIV jurisdiction with low PrEP uptake.

From primary care we work on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular risk in our patients. The physical examination, the electrocardiogram and the analysis are the classic parameters and continue being the most efficient way to estimate the presence and control of cardiovascular factors and target organ damage, to optimize the cardiovascular risk stratification. The use of ultrasound by the primary care doctor to complete the clinical information is a reality that helps to strengthen the diagnostic suspicion, monitorize the clinical evolution and even decide the best therapeutic plan.
