The "Atlas of Genetics and Cytogenetics in Oncology and Haematology" http://www.infobiogen.fr/services/chromcancer is a peer-reviewed and free internet database aimed at genes involved in cancer, cytogenetics and clinical entities in cancer, and cancer-prone diseases. It contains concise and updated review articles, a huge portal towards genetics and/or cancer databases, and teaching materials in genetics for the students. This database is made for and by clinicians and researchers, who are encouraged to contribute. The Atlas is part of the genome project. It provides information in cancer epidemiology. It contributes to research, university and post-university teaching, and telemedicine. It contributes to 'meta-medicine', a mediation using new information technology, between the overflowing information provided by the scientific community and the individual practitioner.

Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is one of the fastest-growing cancers worldwide, lacking established causal factors or validated early diagnostics. Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs), comprising 8% of human genomes, have potential as PTC biomarkers due to their comparably high baseline expression in healthy thyroid tissues, indicating homeostatic roles. However, HERV regions are often overlooked in genome-wide association studies because of their highly repetitive nature, low sequence coverage, and decreased sequencing quality.

Background/objectives: Breast cancer is the second most common malignancy worldwide and poses a significant threat to women's health. However, the prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets of breast cancer are unclear. A prognostic model can help in identifying biomarkers and targets for breast cancer.

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally, with a poor prognosis primarily due to late diagnosis and limited treatment options. This research highlights the critical demand for advanced prognostic tools by creating a model centered on aging-related genes (ARGs) to improve prediction and treatment strategies for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). By leveraging datasets from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), we developed a prognostic model that integrates 14 ARGs using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) alongside Cox regression analyses.

Loss of the glutathione-S-transferases Theta 2 (Gstt2) expression is associated with an improved response to intravesical , Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) immunotherapy for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients who receive fewer BCG instillations. To delineate the cause, Gstt2 knockout (KO) and wildtype (WT) C57Bl/6J mice were implanted with tumors before treatment with BCG or saline. RNA was analyzed via single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
