Introduction: This case report describes a rare instance of small bowel obstruction (SBO) caused by the ingestion of a whole Shine-Muscat grape in a 7-month-old infant. This case adds to the scientific literature by highlighting the potential risk of common fruits, such as grapes, in causing serious gastrointestinal blockages in pediatric patients, which is an uncommon but important consideration for pediatricians and caregivers.

Main Symptoms And Clinical Findings: A 7-month-old female presented with a 3-day history of vomiting, which progressed to bilious vomiting, accompanied by abdominal distension and dehydration.

Dyslipidemia in infants is a rare condition characterized by abnormal levels of lipids in the blood, such as cholesterol and triglycerides. Early diagnosis poses a challenge due to nonspecific symptoms and lipid criteria differing from adults. Through two clinical cases of familial dyslipidemia (Type 1 Familial Hypercholesterolemia and Type 2b Combined Familial Hyperlipidemia), we highlight the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges encountered in infants, emphasizing the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in care and early screening.

Central nervous system infections (CNS) are life-threatening infections in children, requiring urgent intervention and rapid diagnosis. In this study, we aimed to investigate the efficacy of syndromic tests in diagnosing CNS infections and the distribution of viral pathogens in pediatric patients. A total of 145 pediatric patients with a prediagnosis of CNS infection based on clinical findings by a pediatric infectious disease specialist were included in the study.
