Background: In Germany, the incidence of traumatic spinal cord injury is approximately 16 per million inhabitants per year. This article aims to present evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic measures for the first 14 days after injury to minimize neural damage, prevent complications, and preserve functioning as much as possible.

Methods: After the formulation of key questions, systematic literature searches were carried out on multiple topics.

Antibodies in human milk protect infants against infections, but currently no assay is described that is able to simultaneously measure all 9 antibody isotypes and subclasses immunoglobulins in human fluids, such as human milk. Our cohort "Protecting against Respiratory tract Infections through human Milk Analysis" (PRIMA) is focused on the relation between the occurrence of respiratory infections during the first year of life and concentration of maternal antibodies in breastfeeding. We developed and successfully validated a multiplex assay that is able to measure all nine antibody isotypes and subclasses in human plasma and milk (regardeless of the pathogen specificity), using a small sample volume.

The linseed processing was carried out on a laboratory scale to obtain the linseed protein concentrate (LPC), using the physical method. The analyzes were carried out on whole grains (WG), demucilated grains (DG) and LPC. In the fractions obtained, the chemical composition (dry matter, ash, lipids, crude protein, total dietary fiber, soluble fiber and insoluble fiber), total phenolic compounds and physicochemical properties were evaluated in the obtained fractions.

Objectives: This systematic review and meta-analysis (SRM) evaluated the effect of incorporating calcium-based bioactive agents in bleaching gels on dental structure preservation and whitening efficacy.

Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted across databases up to November 2024. Two independent reviewers screened and selected clinical trials and in vitro studies evaluating the effects of calcium-based bioactive agents in bleaching gels, following predefined PICO criteria.

Surface Grafting of Graphene Flakes with Fluorescent Dyes: A Tailored Functionalization Approach.

Nanomaterials (Basel)

The controlled functionalization of graphene is critical for tuning and enhancing its properties, thereby expanding its potential applications. Covalent functionalization offers a deeper tuning of the geometric and electronic structure of graphene compared to non-covalent methods; however, the existing techniques involve side reactions and spatially uncontrolled functionalization, pushing research toward more selective and controlled methods. A promising approach is 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, successfully utilized with carbon nanotubes.
