A Gram-positive actinobacterium, previously classified as Kocuria varians, was subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. The bacterium showed the peptidoglycan type Lys-Ala3 (variation A3alpha), MK-7(H2) was the major menaquinone and anteiso-C(15 : 0) and anteiso-C(17 : 0) were the major fatty acids. On the basis of the phylogenetic and phenotypic characteristics of the actinobacterium, a novel species, Kocuria carniphila sp. nov. (type strain, CCM 132T=DSM 16004T), is proposed.

The dengue virus (DENV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus endemic to many tropical and subtropical regions. Over the past few decades, the global incidence of dengue has risen dramatically, with the virus now present in over 100 countries, putting nearly half of the world's population at risk. This increase is attributed to several factors, including urbanization, climate change, and global travel, which facilitate the spread of both the virus and its mosquito vectors.

A Gram-staining-positive, aerobic bacterium, designated strain JJ-181, was isolated from the root surface of soybean. Based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities, strain JJ-181 was grouped into the genus Cohnella, most closely related to Cohnella hashimotonis F6_2S_P_1 (98.85%) and C.

In this study, an intelligent nanoparticle system (CCM+TTD@ZIF-8 NPs) was prepared using curcumin (CCM), an aggregation-induced emission luminogens (TTD), and ZIF-8 for infection-induced wound healing. The CCM+TTD@ZIF-8 NPs showed multiple functions, including bacteria targeting, fluorescence imaging and pH response-guided photodynamic therapy (PDT), and anti-inflammatory.

Gut commensals play important roles in maintaining the homeostasis of human health. Previous studies indicated that the abundance of in animal hosts was increased by the administration of prebiotics such as polysaccharides purified from iconic oriental medicinal fungi. Subsequently, was found to exert beneficial effects on the amelioration of multiple chronic inflammation-associated diseases.

Objective: The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the changes in sleep quality among patients with cirrhotic cardiomyopathy (CCM).
Methods: The study included liver cirrhosis patients aged 18-75 from Northern Jiangsu People's Hospital Affiliated to Yangzhou University and collected their clinical examination results to assess the clinical characteristics and related risk factors of patients with CCM.
Results: The study found that the onset of CCM was not related to the etiology of inducing cirrhosis.
