Background: The Immunoglobulin Heavy Chain (IGH) genomic region is responsible for the production of circulating antibodies and warrants careful investigation for its association with COVID-19 characteristics. Multiple allelic variants within and across different IGH gene segments form a limited set of haplotypes. Previous studies have shown associations between some of these haplotypes and clinical outcomes of COVID-19.

Background: Pseudogalium is a new monotypic genus with two subspecies in China and one in Japan, which holds a distinctive phylogenetic position and ecological significance within the tribe Rubieae. Chloroplast genomes contain abundant information for resolving phylogenetic relationships. To investigate the phylogenetics of P.

Tight junctions (TJs) between adjacent Sertoli cells are believed to form immunological barriers that protect spermatogenic cells expressing autoantigens from autoimmune responses. However, there is no direct evidence that Sertoli cell TJs (SCTJs) do indeed form immunological barriers. Here, we analyzed male mice lacking claudin-11 (Cldn11), which encodes a SCTJ component, and found autoantibodies against antigens of spermatocytes/spermatids in their sera.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a leading form of non-small cell lung cancer characterized by a complex tumor microenvironment (TME) that influences disease progression and therapeutic response. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) within the TME promote tumorigenesis and evasion of immune surveillance, though their heterogeneity poses challenges in understanding their roles and therapeutic targeting. Additionally, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) offers potential anti-cancer agents that could modulate the immune landscape.

SoxR containing a [2Fe-2S] cluster required for its transcription activity functions as a bacterial stress-response sensor that is activated through oxidation by redox-active compounds (RACs). SoxR from (EcSoxR) is activated by nearly all RACs nonspecifically. In contrast, nonenteric SoxRs such as (PaSoxR), and (ScSoxR) activate their target genes in response to RAC including endogenously produced metabolites.
