A group of three general surgeons in a small community hospital found laparoscopy and laparascopic tuball ligations to be a valuable addition to their practice. Equipment costs and training costs are not prohibitive for a small hospital. The procedures result in minimal morbidity, and have enhanced treatment of gynecologic problems.
