Background: Fine particulate matter (PM) is noxious to female reproductive development and facilitates the occurrence of subsequent diseases. Early menopause is initiative factor of female aging. But due to the lack of historical exposure of PM, we could not gain insight into the linkage between ambient PM exposure and early menopause.

Aromatase inhibitors have often been likened to that of 'medical scalpels' for the treatment of breast carcinoma. By inhibiting the singular step of aromatisation, they have proven to be extremely effective allies in the treatment of breast cancer among postmenopausal women. However, their relevance soon may not be limited to the post-menopausal age group alone.

Recent studies confirm the pioneering epidemiologic data that indicated that, despite the well-established effects on the lung, most of the hundreds of thousands of premature deaths annually result from extrapulmonary toxicity, particularly accelerated cardiac and vascular disease. As with lung cancer, abstention significantly reduces the risk, even after myocardial infarction or surgery for complications of vascular disease.
