Introduction Chlamydia Trachomatis: continues to be the most common bacterial infection worldwide and rates continue to increase despite long-standing control efforts. Point of care (POC) testing options may offer improvements in case finding that lead to improved control of this sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Areas Covered: This review will provide information on the three tests that have US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance and describe assays in the developmental pipeline.

Background: Results of the National Lung Screening Trial create the potential to reduce lung cancer mortality, but community translation of lung cancer screening (LCS) has been challenging. Subsequent policies have endorsed informed and shared decision-making and using decision support tools to support person-centered choices about screening to facilitate implementation. This study evaluated the feasibility and acceptability of LuCaS CHOICES, a web-based decision aid to support delivery of accurate information, facilitate communication skill development, and clarify personal preferences regarding LCS-a key component of high-quality LCS implementation.

Introduction: Strategic knowledge mobilization efforts are needed to enhance uptake and use of the Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines (24HMG), which describe optimal amounts of physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep each day for overall health. The Whole Day Matters Toolkit for Primary Care is an evidence-informed resource to help primary care providers (PCPs) disseminate the 24HMGs. The purpose of this study was to describe gaining consensus on toolkit components through iterative revisions to improve its utility in preparation for the September 2022 launch, and to summarize early dissemination efforts.

Supramolecularly Built Local Electric Field Microenvironment around Cobalt Phthalocyanine in Covalent Organic Frameworks for Enhanced Photocatalysis.

The local electric field (LEF) plays an important role in the catalytic process; however, the precise construction and manipulation of the electric field microenvironment around the active site remains a significant challenge. Here, we have developed a supramolecular strategy for the implementation of a LEF by introducing the host macrocycle 18-crown-6 (18C6) into a cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc)-containing covalent organic framework (COF). Utilizing the supramolecular interaction between 18C6 and potassium ion (K), a locally enhanced K concentration around CoPc can be built to generate a LEF microenvironment around the catalytically active Co site.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, autoimmune inflammatory disease with a multisystem manifestation and a variety of clinical symptoms. Over the last decades, the prognosis and life expectancy of patients with SLE improved significantly due to the implementation of corticosteroids combined with immunosuppressive agents. Nevertheless, the use of these medications is often associated with the occurrence of serious side effects and additional deterioration of organ function.
