A comparison of classical and quantum evolution usually involves a quasiprobability distribution as a quantum analogue of the classical phase space distribution. In an alternate approach that we adopt here, the classical density is projected on to the configuration space. We show that for billiards, the eigenfunctions of the coarse-grained projected classical evolution operator are identical to a first approximation to the quantum Neumann eigenfunctions. However, even though there exists a correspondence between the respective eigenvalues, their time evolutions differ. This is demonstrated numerically for the stadium and lemon-shaped billiards.

The corrugated <110> oriented layered metal halide perovskites (MHP) are gaining increased attention for a variety of properties including intrinsic white light emission. One prototypical candidate is 1-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole lead bromide, which was reported to crystallize as the <110> oriented perovskite (API)PbBr [API = 1-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole]. This work shows that under similar reaction conditions, the same components can instead form (API)PbBr, which has a "perovskitoid" structure.

Objective: This case report presents the interdisciplinary retreatment of a patient with a worn full-mouth rehabilitation using defect-oriented restorations, horizontal preparations, and vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) increase.
Clinical Considerations: A 58-year-old woman with a previous full-mouth rehabilitation presented with worn dentition, loss of VDO, and reduced posterior support. Examination revealed signs of parafunctional habits, tetracycline-stained teeth, and compromised aesthetics with exposed discolored teeth and open embrasure spaces.
Adaptive mode-selective multiplexers offer the potential to control the modal content within multimode fibers for space division multiplexing (SDM). To such an end, spatial light modulators allow programmable control over the phase, amplitude, and polarization of optical wavefronts. One of the major challenges is to precisely match the manipulated beam to the waveguide modes in the multimode fiber.

All-optical computation based on metasurfaces has emerged as a powerful platform for spatial differentiation due to its advantage of high integration and parallel processing. However, while most current works focus on one- or two-dimensional (2D) spatial differentiation, three-dimensional (3D) all-optical computation for compact spatial differentiator remains elusive.
