Purpose: There are attempts to assess tumor heterogeneity by texture analysis. However, the ordered subsets-expectation maximization (OSEM) reconstruction method has problems depicting heterogeneities. The aim of this study was to identify image reconstruction parameters that improve the ability to depict internal tumor necrosis using a self-made phantom that simulates internal necrosis.

Purpose: To investigate the efficacy of [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT for assessing viable tumours (VTs) after local regional treatment (LRT) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients. The related imaging features of HCC after LRT are preliminarily discussed.
Methods: A cohort of 37 LRT patients with HCC (encompassing 51 lesions) was retrospectively included from a prospective parent study (ChiCTR2000039099), and sequential PET/CT using [F]FDG and [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 was performed.

Background: Positron emission tomography (PET) response criteria in solid tumours (PERCIST 1.0) is a systematic assessment of therapy response with fluorine 18 fluorodeoxyglucose ([F]FDG) PET. We report a case of a 33-year-old man with epilepsy and equivocal EEG, MRI signs of mesiotemporal sclerosis, and nondiagnostic standard FDG-PET imaging. The patient underwent repeat FDG-PET/MRI to clarify the sidedness of the epileptogenic focus and to confirm the suspected MTS. The standard PET reconstruction using block sequential regularized expectation maximization failed to provide evidence of a clear epileptogenic focus.

This study compared Ga-FAPI-46 PET/CT, F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT, and contrast-enhanced MRI (CE-MRI) for glioma imaging, classification, and recurrence detection and explored PET parameters and molecular pathological profiles. Between June 2020 and June 2024, we prospectively enrolled patients with space-occupying lesions in the brain or previously treated gliomas. All patients underwent sequential CE-MRI, Ga-FAPI-46, and F-FDG PET/CT.
