This study utilizes the Breast Ultrasound Image (BUSI) dataset to present a deep learning technique for breast tumor segmentation based on a modified UNet architecture. To improve segmentation accuracy, the model integrates attention mechanisms, such as the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) and Non-Local Attention, with advanced encoder architectures, including ResNet, DenseNet, and EfficientNet. These attention mechanisms enable the model to focus more effectively on relevant tumor areas, resulting in significant performance improvements.

Objective: Diastolic dysfunction (DD) is defined as impaired left ventricular (LV) relaxation, caused by structural or functional heart diseases. We sought to assess the role of cardiac CT angiography (CCTA) as a tool to evaluate LV DD in patients with normal EF using the diastolic expansion index (DEI), as compared to transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) as the gold standard.
Methods: Patients presenting with atypical chest pain with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and having a normal LV ejection fraction on TTE underwent CCTA using a dual source CT scanner.

Conjoined twins, or Siamese twins as they are commonly called, are a rare and extreme form of monochorionic twinning. Imaging plays an essential role in the diagnosis and follow-up of conjoined twins. While ultrasound is often the screening modality of choice, MRI is carried out for better anatomical delineation and further characterization as and when necessary.

Objective: To test the reliability of the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology Giant cell arteritis (GCA) Ultrasonography Score (OGUS) and other composite scores in a patient-based exercise involving experts and non-experts in vascular ultrasonography.
Methods: Six GCA patients were scanned twice (two rounds separated ≥3 hours) by 12 experts and 12 non-experts. Non-experts received 90 min of theoretical and 240 min of practical training between rounds 1 and 2.

Large hemispheric infarction (LHI) is a severe form of stroke with high mortality and poor outcomes. Ultrasonic optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is considered an effective indicator for intracranial hypertension. Our study aimed to validate the efficiency of ultrasonic ONSD and develop a nomogram to identify LHI patients who have 90-day mortality.
