The integration of molecular structures into microscopic electrode arrays is achieved by dielectrophoresis of gold nanoparticles in electrode gaps. Using microelectrodes realized by photolithography, we demonstrate here the generation of pearl chain arrangements of nanoparticles in structures accessible for standard technologies. To preserve the individual particle structures in the final nanowire arrangement, various strategies were employed. An electrical characterization of the pearl chains yielded an Ohmic behavior. The effect of increased current on these structures is studied at the ultramicroscopic level.

Influenza polymerase (FluPol) carries out both viral transcription and replication using the same viral genome segment as a template to yield distinct end products. However, it remains largely unclear how FluPol synthesizes transcripts containing poly (A) tails during transcription termination, while producing fully complementary products during replication termination. In this study, through structural analysis combined with cell-based and biochemical assays, we identified that the PB1 Leu675/Asn676 and PB2 Arg38 residues of FluPol are critical for transcription termination and polyadenylation.

T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL) is a heterogeneous malignant disease with high relapse and mortality rates. To characterise the multiomics features of T-ALL, we conducted integrative analyses using single-cell RNA, TCR and chromatin accessibility sequencing on pre- and post-treatment peripheral blood and bone marrow samples of the same patients. We found that there is transcriptional rewiring of gene regulatory networks in T-ALL cells.
