Two cases of ununited fracture of the femoral neck, treated by a technique described by Brackett (1927) and modified by Merle d'Aubigné (1968) are reported. The femoral head was partly evacuated, care being taken to preserve its blood supply and then impacted onto the femoral neck. The results were found to be satisfactory.
