Objectives: We compared the effects of sub-Tenon's capsule anesthesia (STA) and trans-Tenon's capsule retrobulbar anesthesia (TTRBA) in 68 patients with epiretinal membrane.
Methods: Either STA or TTRBA was induced with 3 mL of lidocaine (2%) before vitrectomy combined with phacoemulsification and aspiration (phacovitrectomy). Akinesia was evaluated by range of eye movement (ROEM) in upward, downward, nasal, and temporal directions at 4, 10, and 30 minutes after injection.

Background: Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in pregnancy has rarely been described. A differential diagnosis between inflammatory, idiopathic, and myopic CNV may be challenging. Moreover, there is no consensus on management, and therapeutic options may be further limited by patient and physician concerns about potential risk to the fetus.

Purpose: To study the effect of intravitreal bevacizumab on macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO).
Subjects And Methods: 6 eyes of 5 patients averaging 70 years, who had received either retinal photocoagulation or trans-tenon retrobulbar triamcinolone injections or both, but in whom the macular edema remained. There was an average of 337 days from BRVO onset to injection of bevacizumab.

Background: The aim of the study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of trans-Tenon's retrobulbar triamcinolone acetonide (TA) injection for macular oedema associated with branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO).
Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 50 consecutive patients with macular oedema associated with BRVO who were treated with trans-Tenon's retrobulbar TA injection (20 mg) as initial treatment for a follow-up period of at least 12 months. Foveal thickness determined by optical coherence tomography, visual acuity, intraocular pressure (IOP) and cataract progression were measured.

Purpose: To report the effects of trans-Tenon's retrobulbar injection of triamcinolone acetonide for subfoveal and juxtafoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV) caused by pathological myopia.
Methods: Eleven consecutive patients (11 eyes) with myopic CNV were treated with trans-Tenon's retrobulbar injection of triamcinolone acetonide. Each patient received a single injection.
