Purpose: Intrinsic capacity (IC), a crucial indicator for the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing 2021-2030, is defined by WHO as the foundation of functional ability, representing the composite of all physical and mental capacities of an individual. IC spans five function domains: Locomotor, psychological, cognitive, vitality, and sensory (including vision and hearing). Accurate IC assessment is vital for effective interventions, yet comparative analyses of these tools are scarce.

Autistic children participate less and have fewer opportunities to develop participation skills than nonautistic peers. The extent to which occupation-based coaching (OBC), a metacognitive strategy training intervention, affects participation in school-age autistic children is unknown. We conducted a single-group pretest-posttest design to evaluate the feasibility and preliminary effect of telehealth OBC for autistic children ( = 13) and primary caregivers ( = 12).

Biopolymer based electrolytes can overcome current performance limitations of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Biopolymers enable electrolytes with high ionic conductivities and wide electrochemical stability windows. While the biobased character of natural materials is claimed as an inherent advantage in meeting current environmental sustainability challenges, further research is required to quantify and compare their environmental impacts as electrolytes.

Many analytical methods have been developed for performing targeted metabolomics. By combining multiple analytical techniques, comprehensive coverage of the metabolome can be achieved. We combined multiple analytical techniques to comprehensively and quantitatively characterize the widely studied NIST human plasma reference material, SRM 1950.

Electronic address:

Optically pumped magnetometer-based magnetoencephalography (OPM-MEG) is an novel non-invasive functional imaging technique that features more flexible sensor configurations and wearability; however, this also increases the requirement for environmental noise suppression. Subspace projection algorithms are widely used in MEG to suppress noise. However, in OPM-MEG systems with a limited number of channels, subspace projection methods that rely on spatial oversampling exhibit reduced performance.
