Published: November 2004

Three new briarane diterpenes, juncins O-Q (1-3), along with five known briaranes, praelolide, junceellin A, gemmacolide A, gemmacolide B, and junceellolide D, were isolated from the EtOH/CH(2)Cl(2) extracts of the South China Sea gorgonian coral Junceella juncea. The structures of 1-3 were established by extensive spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR data.

Background: This prediction model quantifies the risk of cognitive impairment. This aim of this study was to develop and validate a prediction model to calculate the 6-year risk of cognitive impairment.

Methods: Participants from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) 2008-2014 and 2011-2018 surveys were included for developing the cognitive impairment prediction model.

Dimethylacridine based emitters for non-doped organic light-emitting diodes with improved efficiency.

Chem Asian J

January 2025

Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, College of Materials Engineering, No. 63, Xiyuangong Road, Minhou County, 350108, Fuzhou, CHINA.

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) has been attracting much extensive interest owing to their advantages of high-definition and flexible displays. Many advances have been focused on boosting the efficiency and stability. Two innovative dimethylacridine-based emitters,1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4- (2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)phenyl ethene (AcTPE), and bis(4-(2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)phenyl)methanone (Ac2BP) were designed and synthesized, in which TPE-baesed AcTPE presents AIE properties, and with the phenyl as spacer between the DMAC and carbony, aryl-ketone-based Ac2BP doesn't show AIE properties due to the absence of restriction of intramolecular rotations.

Background: Hyperuricemia (HUA) is a condition characterized by excessive uric acid production and/or inadequate uric acid excretion due to abnormal purine metabolism in the human body. Uric acid deposits resulting from HUA can lead to complications such as renal damage. Currently, drugs used to treat HUA lack specificity and often come with specific toxic side effects.

This research was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ab-interno trabeculectomy (Trabectome and Kahook Dual Blade) combined with phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation, and goniosynechialysis in eyes with primary angle-closure glaucoma. A total of 47 patients were included in the study and all the patients received the combined surgery. Intraocular pressure, anti-glaucoma medications, best-corrected visual acuity, and the number of peripheral anterior synechiae quadrants were recorded at baseline and at various time points after surgery.
