The adsorption of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) in aqueous suspension onto the surface of TiO(2) nanoparticles was investigated. FTIR spectroscopic data provided evidence in support of hydrogen bonding and chemical interaction in the case of the PAA-TiO(2) system. Adsorption isotherms demonstrated that part of the PAA initially added to the suspension was adsorbed onto the TiO(2) surface, after which there was a gradual attainment of an adsorption plateau. The adsorption density of PAA was found to increase with an increase of PAA molecular weight, while it decreased with an increase of pH. The thickness of the PAA adsorption layer was calculated based on measurements of suspension viscosities in the absence and presence of PAA. It was shown that the thickness of the adsorption layer increased with the increase of pH, PAA molecular weight, and its concentration. The surface charge density, the diffuse charge density, and the zeta potential of TiO(2) varied distinctly after PAA adsorption. The shift of pH(iep) toward a lower pH value was observed in the presence of PAA. PAA was found to stabilize the suspension of TiO(2) nanoparticles through electrosteric repulsion. The influence of factors such as PAA molecular weight and its concentration on the colloidal stability of the aqueous suspension was also investigated.

Emerging two-dimensional MXenes have been extensively studied in a wide range of fields thanks to their superior electrical and hydrophilic attributes as well as excellent chemical stability and mechanical flexibility. Among them, the ultrahigh electrical conductivity (σ) and tunable band structures of benchmark TiCT MXene demonstrate its good potential as thermoelectric (TE) materials. However, both the large variation of σ reported in the literature and the intrinsically low Seebeck coefficient (S) hinder the practical applications.

To analyze the emission characteristics of VOCs from pesticide use sources in Beijing, the distribution of commonly used pesticides and dosage forms in Beijing was obtained through on-site research, and the VOC content of pesticides in different dosage forms was examined using laboratory testing methods. The emission factors of pesticide VOCs for localized dosage forms in Beijing were established, an inventory of pesticide use source VOCs was compiled, and the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of pesticide use source VOCs were analyzed. The results indicated that ① Pesticide dosage forms were the main factors affecting the emission of VOCs from pesticides, and when accounting for VOC emissions from pesticide sources, it is necessary to know the types of pesticides and active ingredients in the target area and obtain information on pesticide dosage forms simultaneously.

Background And Purpose: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has emerged as a significant global concern. To combat this growing threat, various strategies have been employed, including the use of plant extracts and the biosynthesis of nanoparticles (NPs). The current study was designed to evaluate the phytochemical analysis of ginger () extracts, characterize the silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and to see their antibacterial potentials against multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacterial strains.

Clofazimine is an emerging drug for the treatment of cryptosporidiosis in infants. As a poorly water-soluble drug, the formulation of clofazimine in age-appropriate vehicles is challenging and often results in the use of off-label formulations. Milk-based vehicles such as human milk and bovine milk have been investigated as age-appropriate formulations and shown to increase the solubilisation of poorly water-soluble drugs via enhanced solubility in lipid digestion products in vitro.
