Ovarian cancer is quite common in women, but brain metastases from ovarian cancer are considered rare. Eleven patients with solitary cerebral metastasis from ovarian epithelial carcinoma were treated at the Neurosurgical Department of University of Rome La Sapienza, between 1980 and 2000. We treated all of the 11 patients by surgical en bloc removal and by postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Mean survival was 28 months, and the cause of death was recurrence of the systemic disease in all cases. Multimodal treatment by surgery, radiation and chemotherapy is the best choice of treatment and leads to a median survival of about 20 months.

Methods: In this case report, we present an in-depth narrative of a patient who was subjected to mechanical thrombectomy (MT) for an obstruction in the main trunk and bifurcation of the left middle cerebral artery subsequent to Infective Endocarditis (IE). Initial intervention using a solitary-stent technique proved to be ineffective; thus, we shifted to a dual-stent strategy, which successfully recanalized the compromised blood vessel.
Results: The dual-stent retriever method can be especially advantageous for treating persistent clots that occur at arterial bifurcations resisting the efforts of a single-stent retriever during the MT process.

Background: Cysticercosis, a parasitic infection caused by the larval stages of the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium, predominantly affects cerebral and ocular tissues. The subcutaneous manifestation of this disease is a relatively uncommon clinical occurrence. Background: Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EP-TB) constitutes one-fifth of all tuberculosis (TB) cases. EP-TB mimics common infections which pose diagnostic dilemma, requires extensive diagnostics that culminate into therapeutic delay often resulting in irrational and empirical institution of antitubercular therapy (ATT) in challenging cases. This supplemented by poor treatment compliance resulted in emergence of Drug-resistant (DR) strains of EP-TB which further impedes the path to recovery.

Introduction: Extensive small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) are currently managed using first-line chemotherapy options, including atezolizumab (Atezo) plus etoposide and carboplatin (CE) or durvalumab (Durva) plus etoposide with either cisplatin (PE) or carboplatin (CE).
