Article Synopsis
  • - Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) are popular for managing type 2 diabetes, but there's concern about their potential link to cancers, particularly pancreatic and thyroid cancers, which needs further investigation.
  • - A study analyzed 2.7 million T2DM patients, comparing those on GLP-1 RAs to those not on the medication, while controlling for various health factors to measure cancer risks.
  • - Results showed that T2DM patients using GLP-1 RAs had a significantly lower risk of gastric cancer (0.05% vs. 0.13%) and esophageal cancer (0.04% vs. 0.13%) after seven years

Objective: The objective of this study is to explore the impact, barriers, and facilitators of MLP implementation in primary care clinics.

Drug resistance in cancer poses a serious challenge in finding an effective remedy for cancer patients, because of the multitude of contributing factors influencing this complex phenomenon. One way to counter this problem is using a more targeted and dose-limiting approach for drug delivery, rather than relying on conventional therapies that exhibit multiple pernicious side-effects. Stability and specificity have traditionally been the core issues of peptide-based delivery vectors.
