Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) is the most used rehabilitation approach in the treatment of patients with stroke in the Western world today, despite the lack of evidence for its efficacy. The aim of this study was to conduct an intervention check and measure the nurses' competence, in positioning stroke patients according to the NDT approach. The sample consisted of 144 nurses in six neurological wards who were observed while positioning stroke patients according to the NDT approach. The nurses' combined mean competence scores within the wards was 195 (70%) of 280 (100%) possible, and for each ward the mean score varied between 181 (65%) and 206 (74%). This study indicates that nurses working in hospitals where the NDT approach has been implemented have the knowledge and skills to provide NDT nursing.

Cohort studies with comprehensive follow-up periods that track patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and gather extensive health data are important for understanding the diverse progression patterns of CKD. This review explores the potential of emerging analytical techniques that can be applied in addition to conventional analysis approaches to enhance CKD research, by offering more detailed insights into disease progression. To maximize the insights available from CKD cohort data with extended follow-up, we examined two advanced approaches: analysis of disease trajectories and of recurrent events.

In this study, we propose an enhanced LiDAR-based mapping and localization system that utilizes a camera-based YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm to detect and remove dynamic objects, such as vehicles, from the mapping process. GPS, while commonly used for localization, often fails in urban environments due to signal blockages. To address this limitation, our system integrates YOLOv4 with LiDAR, enabling the removal of dynamic objects to improve map accuracy and localization in high-traffic areas.

Conventional cement production is a major source of CO emissions. As a result, there is an increasing emphasis on finding sustainable alternatives for cement and their appropriate proportion in concrete. This investigation explores the optimization of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) like ultrafine fly ash (UFFA) and silica fume (SF) content in high-performance concrete (HPC).
