Introduction: RNA splicing is a crucial posttranscriptional process that governs gene expression, and defects in alternative splicing contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Tumor suppressing subtransferable candidate 4 (TSSC4) is a known tumor suppressor and has been identified as part of the U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP), which is involved in tri-snRNP biogenesis. However, the precise role of TSSC4 in regulating alternative splicing and its impact on tumor growth remain unclear.

Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) is a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) superfamily and is related to metabolism, injury, and aging. GDF15 has both tumor-promoting and tumor-suppressing effects. However, its role in colorectal cancer (CRC) with high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) must be further clarified.

The tumor-suppressing p-53 binding protein is a crucial protein that is involved in the prevention of cancer via its regulatory effect on a number of cellular processes. Recent evidence indicates that it interacts with a number of other proteins involved in cancer in ways that are not fully understood. An understanding of such interactions could provide insights into novel ways p53 further exerts its tumour prevention role via its interactions with diverse proteins.

This study aimed to explore the potential of ANXA6 as a biomarker and its possible mechanisms, like its expression patterns and clinical significance, as well as exploring its underlying biological functions and regulatory networks in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Differentially expressed proteins were identified by proteomics technology. PCR, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA analysis of serum were used to analyze ANXA6's clinical role.
