In total joint arthroplasty, periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) can be devastating. Corticosteroid injections (CSIs) are commonly administered for temporary pain relief in the setting of various conditions. Therefore, the current systematic review aims to evaluate whether CSIs administered prior to total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) are a risk factor for PJI and revision surgery.

Purpose: To compare arthroscopic Bankart repair versus the open Latarjet procedure at a minimum of 10-year follow-up evaluating recurrence and arthropathy development rates.
Methods: A systematic review was performed in concordance with PRISMA guidelines. Studies were included if they reported on the arthroscopic Bankart repair or open Latarjet procedure with a minimum of 10-year follow-up.

Treatment of distal radial fractures that include small anterior rim fragments can be difficult. We retrospectively reviewed 19 patients in whom an anterior rim plate with locking screws was used. After a median follow-up of 18 months (range 6-32; interquartile range (IQR) 14, 26), the median wrist flexion and extension arc was 70° (range 50-80; IQR 60, 70), the median grip strength was 80% of the contralateral side (range 52-104; IQR 77, 88), the median visual analogue scale score for pain was 0 (range 0-5; IQR 0, 1), the median disabilities of the arm, shoulder and hand score was 2 (range 0-59; IQR 0, 11) and the median modified Mayo wrist score was 80 (range 35-100; IQR 75, 85).

Approximately 90% of athletes return to play after Latarjet, comparable to arthroscopic Bankart repair. Patients may be physically unable to return to play, which may be due to persistent pain, apprehension, or weakness.

Purpose: To identify arthroscopic rotator cuff repair study groups and evaluate if study design or other study characteristics correlate with a repeat ipsilateral shoulder surgery.
Methods: A systematic search of the PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases was conducted on March 20, 2021, and April 2, 2021. The following search terms were used by 2 different researchers: ((Rotator cuff repair[Title/Abstract]) AND (Revision[Title/Abstract]) NOT (Systematic Review[Title/Abstract]) NOT (arthroplasty[Title/Abstract]).
