Purpose: To investigate the effects of probing of lacrimal passage on congenital dacryocystitis.
Methods: 474 consecutive infants with congenital dacryocystitis were treated with probing of lacrimal passage. The data were retrospectively analyzed.
Results: In 474 eyes, there were 360 and 122 eyes with or without membranous block respectively, and 356 (98.89%) and 107 eyes (85.25%) with or without membranous resistance were respectively cured with probing of lacrimal passage; there were 12 eyes with stenosis and 8 eyes (66.67%) were cured. In operation, 1 and 3 eyes were respectively suffered from subcutaneous edema and laceration of canaliculus, but there was no baby suffered from infection or asphyxia.
Conclusions: The effects of probing of lacrimal passage were related to the causes of obstruction of lacrimal passage, and it is very important to scrupulously feel in probing lacrimal passage.

Purpose: To relate dacryoscintillographic features to presenting symptoms and signs for watery-eyed patients with patent drainage systems.
Methods: Retrospective case note and imaging review for patients with watering eye(s) and clinical evidence of impaired tear drainage who underwent dacryoscintillography (DSG). Three DSG features were graded, along with 4 symptoms, 7 signs, and the degree of fluid reflux and nasal fluid passage on gentle syringing.

The ethmoidal foramina (EF), located on the medial orbital wall along the frontoethmoidal sutures, are critical anatomical landmarks for surgeries involving the medial orbital wall. This review aimed to review the surgical anatomy of the EF, including their embryology and radiology. Although the frontoethmoidal sutures mostly have two foramina passing through them, there are reports of single foramen or multiple, up to six foramina.

Dacryocystography (DCG) has been used to illustrate the morphological and functional aspects of the lacrimal drainage system in the evaluation of patients with maxillofacial trauma and epiphora. This study developed deep-learning models for the automatic classification of the status of the lacrimal passage based on DCG. The authors collected 719 DCG images from 430 patients with nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
