The power analysis discussed above establishes that it was most unlikely that Mody et al. (1997) could make a meaningful test of the Tallal hypothesis because of inadequate n and failure to specify the effect size. Note that this is a best-case scenario, because the power analysis assumes that the analysis of variance assumptions were within reasonable boundaries (e.g., as specified by Norton's study). This was clearly not the case. In summary, the Mody et al. study fails to meet minimal scientific criteria and makes no meaningful contribution to the literature.

Abundant studies have documented the positive impact of mothers' empowerment on children's health and education in the Global South, but little is known about how maternal empowerment shapes children's gender beliefs. Using data from the India Human Development Survey, this study examines the relationship between mothers' empowerment and adolescent children's gender beliefs in India. Recognizing the multidimensionality of women's empowerment, we conduct latent class analysis to identify a six-class empowerment typology based on mothers' education, employment, decision-making power at home, mobility outside the home, and memberships in women's organizations.

Background: Caregivers of autistic children experience particularly poor levels of mental health and increased caregiving complexities. Proactive post-diagnostic family support is recommended but is inconsistently implemented, largely not evidence based, and does not directly address caregiver mental health. This study aimed to test the clinical effectiveness of the Empower-Autism programme plus treatment as usual versus the usual local post-diagnostic psychoeducation offer plus treatment as usual on caregiver mental health at the 52-week follow-up.

I explore how "low-quality evidence" from program performance might still be useful in decision-making. Conceptually, a local government named "Here" is motivated to consider a program from "Elsewhere" that seems to show year-over-year exemplary performance. Here must manage five sources of uncertainty about whether and how to extrapolate from Elsewhere: chance in assessing Elsewhere's performance; illusion due to confounding variables; estimating the several powers of the program's components; substitutions in the design process made by Elsewhere and contemplated by Here; and estimating whether in the final analysis Here can meet its own breakeven criterion for going ahead.

Mastering the snatch lift requires physical strength as well as a deep understanding of kinematics, kinetics, and timing, making it one of the most technically demanding athletic feats. While kinematic differences across skill levels are well-documented, kinetic differences are less understood. Exploring the 3D kinetics of the snatch can reveal important insights into the movement patterns, moments, forces, and power involved in the lift, helping to enhance performance for lifters at all skill levels.
