BACKGROUND The management of unstable atlas fractures remains a subject of ongoing debate and controversy. The conservative surgical treatment commonly involves fusion, resulting in severe loss of cervical spine mobility, and a large incisions and extensive tissue dissection are required. We aim to introduce a novel concept and surgical approach for treating atlas fracture, one that involves minimizing trauma while maintaining mobility of the upper cervical spine without resorting to fusion.

Type B aortic dissection (TBAD) presents a complex clinical challenge requiring coordinated, multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes. While rapid intervention is crucial for complicated TBAD, the optimal management of uncomplicated cases remains less well-defined. Historically, uncomplicated TBAD was managed medically, but recent years have seen a shift toward selective interventional approaches.

Testicular leiomyoma is an exceptionally rare finding in patients with androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS). Here, we present a report of a 30-year-old individual diagnosed with complete AIS who presented with an inguinal mass subsequently identified as a right sided testicular leiomyoma. While leiomyoma are generally considered benign, controversies persist regarding the potential for malignancy in inguinal masses among AIS patients.

Background: The NHS App launched in 2019 as the 'digital front door' to the National Health Service in England with core features including General Practitioner (GP) appointment booking, repeat prescriptions, patient access to records and, later on, COVID-19 vaccination certification. Similar patient portals have been adopted in different formats and with variable levels of success. In this longitudinal study (2021-2023) we examined how the NHS App became implemented in the pandemic context and beyond.
