We present the Clinical Trial results of the first Spanish intragastric balloon manufactured: the Stella® balloon (SwanMedical, Barcelona). As a peculiarity, it has a double lumen in the introducer system. The first one is intended for the passage of a guidewire to insert the balloon quickly and safely, which also requires prior gastroscopy.

Robotic surgery has been widely used in surgical gastric cancer treatments, including proximal gastrectomy. Single-port robotic system is gaining more popularity in robotic surgery, but there has been no report on its application in robotic proximal gastrectomy with right-sided overlap and single-flap valvuloplasty (RPG-ROSF). Here, we report an RPG-ROSF using a novel single-port robotic system in a 51-year-old male patient with an early-stage gastroesophageal cancer detected by gastroscopy.

Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Department of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Background And Aims: Gastric balloons and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty appear to work by delaying gastric emptying. We hypothesized that pylorus-sparing antral myotomy would inhibit the antral pump, inducing gastric retention and similarly resulting in weight loss.

Methods: In this single-center pilot study, we assessed bariatric endoscopic antral myotomy (BEAM) using submucosal tunneling.

Background: The detection rate of peptic ulcer in children is improving, with development of diagnostic procedures. Gastroscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of peptic ulcer, but it is an invasive procedure. Gastrointestinal contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) has the advantages of being painless, noninvasive, nonradioactive, easy to use, and safe.
