Oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), a leading subtype of head and neck cancer, exhibits high global incidence and mortality rates. Despite advancements in surgery and radiochemotherapy, approximately one-third of patients experience relapse. To improve current targeted and immunotherapy strategies for recurrent OSCC, we conducted multi-omics analyses on pretreatment OSCC samples (cohorts 1 and 2, n=137) and identified A3A and EGFR, both at the RNA and protein levels, as inversely expressed markers for patient stratification and response prediction.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is closely linked to obesity, a condition that significantly impacts tumor progression and therapeutic resistance. Although cetuximab, an EGFR-targeting monoclonal antibody, is a cornerstone in metastatic CRC treatment, resistance often emerges, leading to poor outcomes. This study investigated the role of drug-tolerant persister (DTP) cells and their metabolic interactions within the tumor microenvironment (TME) in cetuximab resistance.

This multicenter study explored the survival benefits of upfront primary tumor resection (PTR) followed by first-line cetuximab plus chemotherapy in real-world patients with wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Treatment options for mCRC include chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and surgery. The efficacy of upfront PTR in managing mCRC remains unclear.

Colon cancer is one kind of malignant digestive tract tumor with high morbidity and mortality worldwide, treatments for which still face great challenges. Recently emerged intervention strategies such as phototherapy and gas therapy have displayed promising effects in the treatment of colon cancer, but their application are still hindered due to insufficient tumor targeting and deeper tissue penetrating capacity. Herein, in the present study, we developed one theranostic nanoplatform Cet-CDs-SNO (CCS) to realize multimodal imaging-guided synergistic colon cancer therapy.

The metabolism of zinc and manganese plays a pivotal role in cancer progression by mediating cancer cell growth and metastasis. The SLC30A family proteins and mediate the efflux of zinc, manganese, and probably other transition element ions outside the cytoplasm to the extracellular space or into intracellular membrane compartments. The SLC39A family members and are their functional antagonists that transfer these ions into the cytoplasm.
