Patients with cancer expect prolonged life (overall survival, OS) or better life (quality of life, QOL) from cancer treatments. However, majority of new cancer drugs are now being approved not based on improved OS or QOL, but based on surrogate endpoints such as tumor shrinkage or delayed tumor progression. These surrogate endpoints, including their validity as a proxy for overall survival, differ based on disease settings and lines of treatment but in general, most surrogate measures have weak correlation with outcomes that matter to patients.

Existing image fusion methods primarily focus on complex network structure designs while neglecting the limitations of simple fusion strategies in complex scenarios. To address this issue, this study proposes a new method for infrared and visible image fusion based on a multimodal large language model. The method proposed in this paper fully considers the high demand for semantic information in enhancing image quality as well as the fusion strategies in complex scenes.

This study aimed to synthesise the current evidence on psychological factors potentially associated with Long COVID and condition-relevant outcomes like quality of life.
