The combination of a computer-based patient record system with a decision support system may give physicians the decisive push they need to accept such systems. In the PropeR-project we determine the requirements for a generic interface between both such systems and measure its potential impact on patient care. In this overview we describe the objectives, the experimental approach, and the current state of the PropeR-project. We also discuss the original positions behind the project.

Surface induced crystallization/amorphization of phase change materials.

Surface induced crystallization/amorphization of a Germanium-antimony-tellurium (GST) nanolayer is investigated using the phase field model. A Ginzburg-Landau (GL) equation introduces an external surface layer (ESL) within which the surface energy and elastic properties are properly distributed. Next, the coupled GL and elasticity equations for the crystallization/amorphization are solved.

Background: Our current understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying amyloidogenesis in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is limited by the lack of comprehensive models closely resembling human pathology. Human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) 3-dimensional (3D) models, such as brain organoids and neurospheres, are emerging as innovative approaches to model neurodegenerative diseases in vitro. However, they rely on hiPSC self-organization and are therefore characterized by low reproducibility and homogeneity.

Health monitoring and analysis of photovoltaic (PV) systems are critical for optimizing energy efficiency, improving reliability, and extending the operational lifespan of PV power plants. Effective fault detection and monitoring are vital for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of these systems. PV power plants operating under fault conditions show significant deviations in current-voltage (I-V) characteristics compared to those under normal conditions.

Background: With the increasing interest in the application of large language models (LLMs) in the medical field, the feasibility of its potential use as a standardized patient in medical assessment is rarely evaluated. Specifically, we delved into the potential of using ChatGPT, a representative LLM, in transforming medical education by serving as a cost-effective alternative to standardized patients, specifically for history-taking tasks.

Objective: The study aims to explore ChatGPT's viability and performance as a standardized patient, using prompt engineering to refine its accuracy and use in medical assessments.
