Background: The causal relationship between PM (particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter ≤2.5 μm) and common mental disorders, along with its neuropathological mechanisms, remains unclear.
Methods: We used genome-wide association study datasets from the UK Biobank and Psychiatric Genomics Consortium to systematically investigate the causal relationship between PM and nine common psychiatric disorders using two-sample Mendelian randomization (TSMR) methods.

Objective: This study investigates the overall pattern and timing of medical diagnoses up to 10 years before an anorexia nervosa (AN) diagnosis and explores differences before and after AN diagnosis aiming to improve early detection.
Method: In this nationwide population-based cohort study, we included all patients diagnosed with incident AN from 1987 to 2018 (n = 13,345) and a 1:10 age- and sex-matched general population comparison cohort, using Danish health registries. Using conditional logistic regression, we calculated odds ratios (ORs) of medical diagnoses up to 10 years before AN diagnosis.

Background: The thalamus is a complex subcortical brain structure that plays a role in various cognitive functions. Few studies have focused on thalamic nuclei-specific alterations and potential neurohormonal involvement in eating disorders including anorexia nervosa (AN).
Methods: We employed a FreeSurfer segmentation tool to compare thalamic nuclei volumes cross-sectionally between females with AN (n = 131, 12-29 years) and age-matched healthy females (HC, n = 131).

Objective: While weight restoration and/or stabilization is crucial for successful treatment and sustained recovery from restrictive eating disorders (EDs), it is often challenging to define an individual's expected healthy body weight. This paper introduces the TeenGrowth package and its web-based application, designed to calculate and forecast predicted body mass index (BMI) and weight across adolescence.
Method: TeenGrowth includes functions for data cleaning, predicted BMI z-score and BMI calculations, and growth forecasting.
