This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplements of fermented mixed ingredient product (FMIP) on the growth performance, intestinal health, and immune performance of layer hens during the brooding period. Four hundred eighty healthy one-day-old layer chicks were randomly divided into four groups (six replicates/group, twenty hens/replicate) and were fed with different experimental diets for eight weeks (from day 1 to day 56): (1) Corn-soybean-base diet (CON); (2) Chlortetracycline group (CTC; CON diet supplemented with 0.5g/kg chlortetracycline); (3) 4 % fermented mixed ingredient product (4 % FMIP); (4) 8 % fermented mixed ingredient product (8 % FMIP).

PANoptosis is one of several modes of programmed cell death (PCD) and plays an important role in many inflammatory and immune diseases. The role of PANoptosis in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is currently unknown. Differentially expressed PANoptosis-related genes (DE-PRGs) were identified, and pathway enrichment analyses were performed.

A major risk to the poultry industry is antimicrobial resistance (AMR), specifically with regard to Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) infections. The sensitivity patterns of 100 MG isolates to biocides and antibiotics were examined in this study to clarify the interactions between antimicrobial agents and resistance mechanisms. The antimicrobial activity against MG was assessed using broth microdilution, and the results are shown as the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) for each strain, the MIC distribution (range), the MIC, and/or the MIC.

The objective of this study was to examine the residue elimination patterns of seven antibiotics in the eggs of Taihang chickens under free-range conditions and develop suitable withdrawal times (WDTs). A total of 240 healthy Taihang chickens, aged 180 days, were randomly divided into eight groups of 30 birds each. The first seven groups were administered oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, erythromycin, tylosin, tylvalosin, lincomycin, and tiamulin, respectively, in accordance with the maximum dosages and longest durations of treatment recommended by the Veterinary Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China.

The principal constituent of liquorice root () is glycyrrhizin, a triterpene saponin that is approximately many times sweeter than sucrose, the main active component. This study aimed to investigate the dietary liquorice root powder (LRP) on production performance, serum biochemical, gut health and carcass characteristics of Kadaknath (KN) birds as replacement of antibiotic growth promoter. Day-old Kadaknath chicks (n = 240) with uniform body weight were selected randomly and divided into six different treatments, each one with five replicates and eight birds per replicate, and raised in battery brooder cages for 15 weeks.
