Objective: Eosinophilic Otitis Media (EOM) is an intractable disease caused by type 2 inflammation, such as Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis (ECRS) and bronchial asthma. Biologics have recently been used to treat ECRS and bronchial asthma. Biologics are not indicated for EOM; however, because approximately 10% of ECRS cases has concomitant EOM, concomitant EOM improvement has been observed when dupilumab is administered for ECRS.

Objectives: The pathogenesis of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) not only affects the ovarian structure and function but also gives rise to complications such as osteoporosis and dyslipidemia. Although low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has been proven effective in treating POI, its impact on the associated complications remains unexplored. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of LIPUS irradiation on osteoporosis and dyslipidemia in a mouse model of POI.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAims: ultrasound (US) diagnosis of enthesitis is burdened of low specificity, especially when it is performed in patients with psoriasis (PsO) but without clinical psoriatic arthritis (PsA), because of mechanical, dysmetabolic and age-related concurrent enthesopatic changes. We propose a novel US score to quantify the cortical-entheseal bone remodeling burden of several peripheral entheses, aiming to improve the specificity of US for PsA-related enthesitis, and to evaluate its diagnostic value in PsO patients with subsequent diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis (PsO/PsA).
Methods: clinical and US data of 119 consecutive patients with moderate/severe PsO and nonspecific musculoskeletal symptoms, were included in this retrospective study.

Objective: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate morphometric changes in mandibular condyles of patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion following two-jaw orthognathic surgery planned using virtual surgical planning (VSP) and analysed with automated three-dimensional (3D) image analysis based on deep-learning techniques.
Materials And Methods: Pre-operative (T1) and 12-18 months post-operative (T2) Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans of 17 patients (mean age: 24.8 ± 3.

Background: Epigenetic modifications have been proved to play important roles in the spinal degenerative diseases. As a type of noncoding RNA, the microRNA (miRNA) is a vital class of regulatory factor in the epigenetic modifications, while the role of miRNAs in the regulation of epigenetic modifications in ligamentum flavum hypertrophy (LFH) has not been fully investigated.
Methods: The miRNA sequencing analysis was used to explore the change of miRNA expression during the fibrosis of ligamentum flavum (LF) cells caused by the TGF-β1 (10 ng/ml).
